Madeleine graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Economics in 2014.  After obtaining her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2015, she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in June 2015.

In 2019 Madeleine obtained a Master of Legal Practice from the Australian National University.  While studying, Madeleine worked with Community Legal Services, focusing on helping victims of family violence, clients with mental health illnesses, and Indigenous clients, and also worked and studied abroad.

Madeleine then began working for a boutique Family Law firm, practicing in all areas of Family Law, and subsequently for a large Family Law and Estate Planning practice, gaining experience with complex asset pools, including discretionary and testamentary trusts.

Madeleine has also worked for the Honourable Justice Tyson of the Family Court of Western Australia as a Legal Associate for a period of 14 months.  During this time, Madeleine gained invaluable experience, and a deeper knowledge of Family Law practice and procedure.

Madeleine joined Thomson Family Law in March 2020.  She practices in all areas of Family Law, such as parenting matters, relocation, paternity disputes, child support, simple and complex property settlement, spousal maintenance and enforcement applications.  Madeleine also takes instructions in relation to Children’s Court and Restraining Order matters.

Madeleine endeavours to provide an empathetic, detail-oriented and costs sensitive approach to her practice.
